How and Why Rama is Used in Sikhism, Gurbani and Shri Guru Granth Sahib - Part 2

Canadian Horseshoe Falls with city of Buffalo,...Image via Wikipedia

We have discussed about the law of Conservation of Energy in the previous part. Now, we discuss about the Law of Conservation of Bio-Energy, and changes in the forms of it, the Bio-Energy. It has something to do with consciousness, soul and spirit. It makes remark about reincarnation as change in the form of bio-energy, the consciousness that has soul to keep it giving the clone that has so many things that Spirit does. We discussed it as Omniscience, say Rama word for it in the Sanskrit, Hindi, Punjabi and some other Indian languages.

Thus, the point of importance in the Law of Conservation of Energy, and also Forms of Energy also include the Bio-energy, and the Conservation of Bio-Energy has differences in our context and concepts.

We claim to be scientific and thus seem to deal only laws and principles of science to objects or matter, and thus the biological things, objects or forms seem to remain untouched. If we include the consciousness if also form of energy, we may feel that energy and consciousness differ. What keep the law of conservation an eternal truth is because of consciousness.

The light and matter has third thing that we most commonly know as spirit. If we know that energy changes forms, we may give little attention to that the spirit can also have biological or living forms that it changes. These forms are usually called souls.

The concept of reincarnations has to do something with Conservation of Spirit, the Forms of Souls (the Bio-energies). If we can say that energy has forms, the bio-energy also has forms, the forms of life and these while conserved are as if Spirit.

It is given the names of humans, angels and others that we all know from the scriptures and also as forms of life in the natural world. The animals, birds, plants and other living ones present the forms of bio-energy. It has lot to do with bio-genetics, bioengineering, genetic modifications, and yes of course the biology, botany and all branches of knowledge that deals with living things and its relation to nonliving things.

If other forms of energy have always existed in the universe, can we think the similar if not the same for the forms of bio-energies! It is possible and we will discuss about it in the next part.

How and Why Rama is Used in Sikhism, Gurbani and Shri Guru Granth Sahib - Part 1

Bhai Gurdas ji scribes the Adi Granth while Gu...Image via Wikipedia

The word Rama is used too often in Gurbani, the Collection of Teachings of Shri Guru Granth Sahib, the Holy Book of Sikhs. The Word Rama means Omnipresent or Present Everywhere. In the Gurbani it says in the Assa Di Var that the Riga Veda says that God is Present Everywhere and it is saying is symbol of the Sun is used for it:

"Rig Kahai Rahya Bharpoor, Ram Naam Vedan Menh Sooru"

We usually think that our Sun is just for our solar system and this makes us not part of the universe, but just of the solar system. Our universe has many suns, the stars that can be addressed in the same way, and all are related to one another. This is according to the Theory of the Relativity. Our Solar (Star) systems move around the polar star that is also known as the Dhruva in Indian Scriptures and Science, the Astronomy in general.(Please read more about it from the source with thanks: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pole_star)

Our solar system is just an example of billions of solar systems in the universe.

Thus, the word Rama describes it, similarly many other words are also used in the Gurbani that like Satotras, the praise that we do with many names, which are synonymous, and also give so many universal qualities of God. For example if we read in the Gurbani:

Like word Gopal is used for God for running life on billions of earths. Here Go is for earths and Pal is that sustains life. Now, when we read a line say:

"Gopal Tera Aarta, Jo Jan Teri Bhagat Krante Tin Ke Kaaj Swarta"

(Bhagat Dhana Ji has written it in Raga Dhanasari in Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji)

It means that the one who runs life on earths helps all those, who seek His help, the Word Aarti is a special as it seeks that no matter what wrongs, mistakes, errors, and other humanly faults we make or have all are forgiven and removed when one prays this way. So, if we understand meanings of the words that refer to God's various names, we can have more clarity and insight.

Before going further, let us consider the Concept of Gurbani-The Gurbani is the collection of the teachings of the metaphysically transcendental souls, the enlightened ones. It does not matter to which religion, cult, sect or ism they belong. The belief in it is that the whole of the Creation is having the governance from One God, called and known by many different names. The word ‘Omni’ as a prefix has ‘Om’ which if we combine with ‘Kar’-the Universal activities and actions, it bears the name ‘Onkar’. For example, He is Omni-present, the name in different languages may differ, however, in India and Indian languages the word Ram or Rama is having the same meaning for it, the Omnipresent.

The words in the Gurbani or the Holy Scriptures do not popup. These has been used for ages by the sages, the people who go for the devotional worship. Like Bhai Gurdas Ji says that word Waheguru (also spelled as Vaheguru) has come into existent from four words:

Wa (or Va) is from Wasudeva (also spelled as Vasudeva), the name that means that God dwells within every heart and similar meanings are there according to the languages like Sanskrit, Hindi and Punjabi

Ha is from Hari, which means that God dispels all sorrows.

G of Gu is from Gobind that makes our conscience experiences all that we perceive, think, and do as "I". The essence of our "I" special power of God that makes and helps us to know and understand the "I".

R of Ru is from Rama, the means that the Spirit is Present everywhere that we also say Omnipresent.

Thus, he writes that word Waheguru means that God Dwells in All Hearts (Wa from Waheguru), Dispels All Sorrows (He, from Waheguru), while also Making One Realize the Essence of "I" as from Ignorance to Experience what makes and helps us know what makes us know the "I" (Gu from Waheguru) and what does all of it is Present Everywhere, the Omnipresent (Ru from Waheguru). The words Wasudeva (also spelled as Vasudeva in Hindi), Hari, Gobind (also spelled as Govind), and Rama are used many times in the Gurbani in Shri Guru Granth Sahib.

It is similar to what we know about OM as OAM (O for Brahma, A for Vishnu, and M for Mahesha, the Shiva), which further goes as ONKAR which means that all that is happening as KAR is from the one who created the Brahma, Vishnu and the Mahesha as it says in the Japu Ji Sahib in Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji:

"Eka Mayi Jugat Viayi, Tin Chele Parvan, Ik Sansari, Ik Bhandar, Ik Lage Debanu"

Here the Shakti that created Brahma, Vishnu and the Mahesha is from the Word OM as it has all the powers and energies of creation. However, by this Word, the Sound, the Universe was created and thus as this sound is form of Energy and this energy is given a female form, which simply means whatever changes form. We have these genders for words.

The Power does not change so the this word is considered as male in nature and thus, the Purukh. Now, this is not gender as we assume biologically. These forms of energies and powers thus are one in its essence that we know and understand as the Law of Conservation of Energy (The Resultant Never Changes, the Law Conservation of Energy is thus Omnipotent and remains hidden as we see only forms of energy as sound and light).

So, all words that are for God has deep meaning, feeling, insight, experience, and so on leading to the Divine Wisdom.

Part 2 is here: http://metaphysicsinlife.blogspot.com/2011/06/how-and-why-rama-is-used-in-sikhism_14.html

How Word and Sound Has Great Role in Age of Information Technology - Status of Priests in Kaliyuga and We

Sundoor At The End of The World on VimeoImage by Ralph Buckley via Flickr

We read in the Vishnu and Narad Purana and all other scriptures that in the Kaliyuga, the Age of Machines as Kal means Machine and Yuga means Age and thus Age of Machines, the only thing is Name of the God that remains most important as by Kirtan, Chanting, and so on. Why do we say only name? It, the name is sound and according to quantum physics, the world was created from word, the sound. When we pray, we have highest levels of word, the sound within and also feel the presence of higher conscience as we do in devotional music, the Kirtan.

We are using sound in many forms: "Other studies into sound energy include the usage of various high-frequency waves to actually cancel out other sound pollution that is generated daily from daily life in urban settings. This is particularly helpful in areas where cars and other sources of loud sounds can have their noise at least partially negated by corresponding frequencies, much like noise cancelling headsets utilize a soft “white noise” to eliminate other sounds around a listener." (With thanks from the source: http://www.biofuelswatch.com/uses-of-sound-energy/)

It is common nowadays that many of us would assume as equal to God, and as Shri Guru Gobind Sngh says that almost at every home one will assume to be Lord Rama - Gods (Ghar Ghar Hoye Baihenge Ram...).

Now, name is beyond space and time. The Yuga Rishsi Parashar wrote that in the Kaliyuga people will not chant God's name, they will rather buy it from those, who worship. Like how many people can do take the Sankalpa of doing 1.25 Lakh (125000) Mahamritjnaya Japa with Havana, we cannot find many in a single city. So, we want others to take Sankalpa for us and buy it or pay for it.

Maharishi or Yuga Rishi Parashra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parashara) request that it may harm, the two other things he says that giving water to thirtsy and food to hungry is best donation as we would lack it in the Kaliyuga. Now, we seem to refrain from doing Kirtan, reading scriptures, reciting God's name, preparing food for the hungry, giving water to the thirsty, but when our child is sick we rush for Jap and Havan done by others.

These are not highly respectable as also do not seem to respect the Rabbi, Pujari, Pandit, Bhai Ji (Granthi), Maulivi's, Priests and so on as they seem as if servants who perform rituals in which sound energy for healing is used in many ways:

"The only barrier to the acceptance of vibrational medicine remains the firmly held (and oudated) beliefs of the older doctors and surgeons still practicing medicine. They don't believe in vibrational medicine, and hence they claim it doesn't exist. They aggressively attack homeopathy, acupuncture, sound therapy and mind/body medicine even in the face of an overwhelming body of sound evidence (no pun intended) that they work. Younger doctors, however, are far more curious about nature and are increasingly open to exploring and even prescribing these forms of medicine. When the majority of doctors start doing that, we will be firmly in the third age of medicine: vibrational medicine. We'll treat patients without drugs, without invasive surgery, and without dangerous side effects. Health care costs will plummet, positive results will skyrocket, and the pharmaceutical industry will become practically obesolete.

Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/001128.html#ixzz1K2oMro6Z"

We seem to believe that sound energy, the word and thus quantum is best done by machines and or by others and so practice it personally as little as body does on its own. We can make a difference if we understand what our scriptures about almost all subjects have to say about human faculties of knowledge and wisdom, and it is not going back to ancient but to the original.

How History Creates Conflicts and Philosophy Resolves it - Why Religions and Faiths Seem to Fail

Detail of The School of Athens by Raffaello Sa...Image via Wikipedia

What our youth lacks is Philosophy, particularly Metaphysics. The Philosophy is known as Darshan or Darshna in India which means to see the SELF or SOUL. Now, what history do we need to know the SELF and thus KNOW THYSELF is a universal and ETERNAL truth. History alone can never convince anyone no matter how great or true the facts and data is provided with most authentic way. So, the Indian Way of Wisdom Focuses on Darshna or Darshan of the God, Lord and or Self. We all pray for the Darshan and it is as if saying those who are PURE in HEART will SEE GOD. Now, to SEE GOD we need purity of heart. The self has no age and thus no history, which makes it ETERNAL. Why do we go for history has deep and intense need but after we understand its need.

If I know about Lord Rama and what to find him within I need a seeking for his Darshan which need history and philosophy. Otherwise, history is same as knowledge or big part of IT (Information Technology).

The Darhsna means Philosophy takes us away (beyond) space and time and thus we do need history after reading, the Swadhya, the Study for Self. When the desire to SEE is there history is also read. So, India is a country of philosophers and thinkers (they are known as Rishis's, Muni's, Sages and by so many other names.

What is benefit of chanting and singing name of Lord Rama, we feel his presence and thus start to love him and this Darshan with gives desire to know more about him and thus reading our Holy Ramaynan. It is relevant to most of the world religions and faiths; we start to learn about the greatness hidden in the parables and other riddles as it is in the Holy Bible. Then we get insight into the topic, we seem to want ready-made knowledge that we can feel, but metaphysically we need to understand the depth of wisdom without going for what the truth is historically or otherwise. How true are we depends up on what we have from our wisdom not from knowledge.

The knowledge is static but seems dynamic and thus can be used for any purpose. The manipulation of it can lead to controversies, conflicts and our taking no care of self. Why taking care of self, it is because self is hidden and what others see is our personality.

Wisdom is dynamic but may seem static and it is surely not static but dynamic. If we have focus on self-development, the knowledge about who and what we are in the mirror of wisdom, we can see our face of the self otherwise we may waste our life trying to please others by showing what either others want to see or we want to show.

Thus, history can be distorted and misused, the wisdom cannot be. Know Thyself cannot be made fool as we know history is collection of information and knowledge in the books and database, but wisdom is practical and one knows it without history or proofs. Why the metaphysics and all that has gone worldwide movement as New Age, New Era, Interfaith, and so on because the controversies that history can give are removed.

We at the same time seem to argue about the historical data that has conflicts. It has made all world religions and faiths as if one who believes in these is not a wise person. It seems that our focus on history has done it, and the New Age, New Era and other global movements supporting New World Order does not seem to have any conflict regarding anything.

Then why do we ignore Philosophy and Metaphysics in the Main World Religions seems a point of ignorance and when argument or conflicts seem there we tend to avoid or join some kind of movement that says things in a metaphysical way forgetting that all of it is already present in our own religious books and scriptures. Philosophy has no begining and end but history has and when we want historical facts and figures we may miss what we need KNOW THYSELF.

How Hinduism is Universal: Facbook Chat Gave 55 Points that Reveal the Spiritual Insight into Indian Religions and Faiths

A portrayal of Vyasa, who is revered by Hindus...Image via Wikipedia

How Hinduism is Universal: Facbook Chat Gave 55 Points that reveal the spiritual insight into Indian religions and faiths that many people around the world learn to understand and or practice. These 55 points as follows:

1. Namaste means salute to visible form of Invisible (Soul)

2. OM is Invisible form and thus the Main Tat is Truth and it Exits is Sat.

3. We have 5 Tatva but Main Tatva is Invisible that we know as OM. Thanks!
OM is both Main Tatava and Shakti together.

4. What creates these 5 Tatva or Forms is Brahm (God) and thus the Unchangeable Form in it remains as it is.

5. Hari means that takes away all sorrows hidden in 3 Gunas and OM means that in whatever way He needs to do is in OM, yes in its sound, vibrations and waves as it is both sound and particle that light gives.

6. For our young generation there is so much knowledge fed and thus most of them seem to be fed up.

7. So, the knowledgeable need to wait and practice it more because by knowing nothing really happens in our real or practical life..

8. The Sanatan is never influenced or affected. We lack classical arts, music and all that is Sanatan in our daily life and practice it. Even if science proves all of it 100% right and perfect the practice is still the objective.

9. What we lack is Karma+Yoga.

10. We do only Yoga and seem to claim it Karma.

11. When God helps even a child like Dhruva and Prahlad, why do we refrain from daily practice of Nitya Karma.

12. The self-experience, wisdom and true self-understanding comes mainly from Grace not by efforts.

13. Just living in the company of practically wise people gives it all that we need as if the Parshad, the blessings

14. Past life: Past life helps to create the circumstances and if we avail goodness as our learning.

15. The main objective that individually we all need to cultivate is that God does not His part, the Leela and we simply learn not to imitate Him, but follow what we are taught.

16. If we imitate Lord Krishna it is not good, all great ones wish to please him as his Gopis. This Gopi is not just a kind of boy or girl.

17. Mira Ji once said to someone that it was great to see man other than Krishna in Mathura. He rushed to feel sorry as he said he as a man did not wan to see woman when she requested him to meet.

18. In the Gopi devotion, It has nothing to do with physical body as said before.

19. God is Spirit.

20. In devotion we want to feel the devotional feelings so avoid knowledge alone. The knowledge cannot give feelings and the feelings do not need words.

21. Like Lord Krishna says that he dwells in Jaap, In Saam Veda (Source of Music), Jaap is also form of Yoga.

22. When Dropadi asked why Lord Krishna said she was too confident so could not see the Vastar Avtara.

23. When we meditate we are and dwell in the invisible form.

24. However living in this state more than advised harms, it harms health.

25. Human body is form Karma.

26. Mind is for Yoga and thus Body+Mind=Karma+Yoga.

27. When Rishis asked Lord Krishna, he started to cry. He said the learned people would be most insulted and ignored in Kaliyuga. So, we go through phases and now some changes occur that give some worth and status to learned people, so more patience and thus practice is needed rather than suffering. What is the best Saloka in Holy Gita. Rishis told many. When they asked Lord Krishna said it is by Kunti Ji as when she asks for suffering so that she may remember God to rescue her and thus us.

28. We practice to realize what we say is within. When we meditate God also meditates on us.

29. When asked: Whom do you remember Lord Krishna? All those, who remember me. What else do we need!

30. We do not seem to share stories of great people with children and thus what they learn is not something that they can ever forget.

31. This the 30th point is called Sanskara, the way to see and deal the visible and invisible world. The invisible world is inside and the other outside.

32. Inside is Yoga and Outside Karma. We simply need to make it one. What we enjoy as Gopi and Outside all as God is what we also know as Bhakti.
Enjoy Inside.

33. This form of Bhakti (Devotion) is same as Gyana (Knowledge and Wisdom, the Divine Knowledge).

34. German and Europeans used Indian Wisdom, but in many cases wrongly as Hitler created superman theory using Vedas.

35. Vedas teach to be open learner a wise person.

36. The people in the south have vast knowledge about it and they share their books and works in the west but again due to in depth knowledge.

37. We need to allow Bharat Mata to help us by firstly doing ahvahana (inviting the teachings and thus spiritual presence) of great souls. If we do it on our own it will create problems rather than solving. We pray that God shows us the path.

38. Otherwise intellect and knowledge alone are harmful.

39. Thus, the first thing is to respect, honor and worship Indian prophets, gurus, sages, saints, rishis, munis and other noble and great ones.

40. They make and create way as they are doing all that is must. Even Lord Rama and other great ones did it first. They Rishis and Munis did it too giving us all of the Vedic knowledge and wisdom. We do not own it.

41. This is what we need to share.

42. We do not own Indian Knowledge and Wisdom; Nature or Universe owns it.

43. If we do this part of learning, the knowledge spreads without great efforts. Otherwise, lots of hard work as the Pandavs lived in the exile in the Jungles for 12 years until they found the Brahmin.

44. What we are discussing is Divine Wisdom.

45. It cannot be shared without reaching to the level of Divine Student that means becoming receiver not giver.

46. When we practice we teach, when we teach we do not practice. Please do not take my words as rude.

47. If this knowledge is given to those, who do not respect, one takes blame and burden of all the insult that thus occurs.

48. God always helps in a way that pleases Him not always the way we want and thus what is the best for us and it remains a surprise, is not it.

49. One thing is that all world religions, faiths and knowledge and wisdom is same and Hindus discovered it firstly.

50. It was because Indian people happen to be contented and want to do something for nature. Thus, it is not for business but service.

51.Upanishad's tell and explain about all branches of knowledge.

52. We as the Indian People do not even seem to know names of 4 Vedas.

53. A foolish never wants to be corrected and gets angry if one tries to do so.

54. Now, one way or the other we all are foolish, a wise knows how foolish he or she is. This is the difference between foolish and wise, if I know I am foolish I may learn to be wise. If I assume I am wise, stagnation can make me dumb, deaf and blind, not physically but mentally.

55. Wisdom is common sense that we also know as Sixth Sense.

Thanks for your time reading 55 points from Chat on Facebook in which I was blessed enough to give it as answers to a spiritual person wishing to discuss it about two days ago.

How Self, Society, Nature and Soul Work Together - Human, Possessions, Life, Service and Duty

History of Indian PhilosophyImage by brewbooks via Flickr

We have 3 most popular terms used in Indian Philosophy and Religions and particularly the Metaphysics. These terms are:

1. Aadhibhotic

2. Aadhidavic

3. Aaddhiatamic

1. Aadhibhotic means related to body and all that we possess as a human.

2. The Aadhidavic relates to what runs life as we know it the Devta's, the life givers.

3. The Aaddhiatamic relates what we are, the souls, and thus relates to our conscience and consciousness as well. Now, the body, nature and soul work in a very simple way. We know about the physical world and what we should do in it in context to body and thus social.

However, what makes us know it is the soul (through conscience and all other tools like intellect and emotions). Now, when we consider nature we learn how to deal with Society, Nature and God (in whatever form we worship).

At the physical level (aadhibhotic) society is just buildings and possessions.

At natural level, there is also presence of living ones in the society. The point of spirituality comes from practice of what nature teaches us religion or Dharma. Nature follows the Dharma without any discrimination. Thus, nature and soul together learn spirituality, nature and society practice religion as if socializing with natural world in the nature that includes us, we, the humans.

Thus, religion goes as natural socialization but spiritualism is personal socialization with nature (for theory) and society (for practice). If we serve nature, we receive help in return. However, when we serve soul, the self or conscience, we have nothing to exchange as it is our real self that does not lack anything but in return makes us intellectually and emotionally mature and thus socially strong, mature and thus self-dependent.

This self-dependency is not being able to earn to live.

The conscience is a dynamic thing and thus spirituality is also dynamic that helps us for personal, family, social, national and international development without interfering with the nature. So, the natural laws and principles are for socialization and these can be accepted at intellectual level if we hear what our conscience says not what books say otherwise we may only know and remember (memorizing) without practicing it.

In conclusion, managing family and possessions begins our religions and faiths and how we contribute to society becomes Service (Seva).

The quality and standard that service at home and in society needs that we practice spiritualism as Know Thyself to understand ourselves and thus others. It helps to bring the concept of duty into service. Now, the service is the easiest way to socialize but in spiritual socialization one have to go beyond just serving others. Lord Krishna asks Arjuna to leave all religions, the socialization and so many restrictions it imposes on an individual, group, community and people in general that prevents one to do what one ought to do for all.

It services only motives and interests of some people, who belong to receiving that service due to religious together without even deserving it and thus misuse of laws of any state or nation in modern context. How hard it is to leave the social bonds and do our duty is beyond religions but is spiritual in nature, something that nature wants from us but not the society.

As nowadays society that seem to ignore nature, natural world and its right may prevent anyone doing one's duty.

All of it needed Lord Krishna to give Sermon of Holy Gita and thus is the duty and spirit or spiritualism not just religions and faiths. However, without practicing one's own religion and faith it is difficult to understand and practice what we know as duty, the Kartvya, essence of all services and thus the excellence and quality of service.

We may not simply claim to be public servant.

The democracy that we have had during the ancient times and even few hundreds years had religion and politics working together as the Indian Kings and Queens had been. They made rules according to the religions of the state in which they lived and they followed by themselves.

Lord Rama used Dharma or religion for democracy, but it may seem that he was King and thus not democrat. All of the decisions were taken on behalf of public and the ministers were selected according to standards established in the society. The democary in it was also that there were many states with many kings.

Similarly, Lord Krishna gave Kingdom of India to Yudhishtra and himself remained under his ruling as he served as King of Mathura. There are many examples when kingship was given to many who were not family members.

In nutshell, the Panchayat Raj is the most ancient concept of democracy that India gave to human civilization as only the selected people work in it. The public have always selected the people. It has similarity with home based business that has been present in India in all ages and thus throughout the history. The children were given education and training to be what their parents were and if one excelled one could be either minister or a king and or queen.

Initially most of the Kings and Queens had small regions (state levels) and then attained training, education and skills to be at national levels. This was also democratic way. We are taught that only the mighty was the King and that is not true as one had to prove all that needs to be a king or queen. What about Akbar (With thanks from the source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akbar)and Laxmi Bai (With thanks from the source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rani_Lakshmibai)

We are not discussing the Invaders or others, who used forces. We need to learn even about not just Akbar, the great but also Sher Shah Suri (with thanks from the source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sher_Shah_Suri) to understand how Indian always have made a difference in service and duty.

The process of knowing others is not just by knowledge and data information about anyone, but as equating our personal knowledge about our self as parameter to know others. By knowing others we may not know our-self, but by knowing our-self we can know all.

Thanks for your time to read it.
