ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੋਟੋ-ਸਿਨਾਇਟਿਕ (Proto-Sinaitic), ਫੋਨੀਸ਼ੀਅਨ (Phoenician - ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਲਿਪੀਆਂ ਨਿਕਲੀਆਂ), ਅਰਾਮੀ (Aramaic - ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ), ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮੀ, ਗੁਪਤ (Gupta), ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਰਦਾ (Śāradā) ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਲਿਪੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਤੱਥ ਸਾਡੀ ਆਮ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਲਿਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਡੂੰਘੀਆਂ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਕਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਵਿਆਪੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਗਿਆਨ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮੰਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਵ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
5. ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੋਮ ਯਾਤਰਾ: ਇੱਕ ਭੁੱਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਪੰਨਾ
ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੇ ਪੰਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਦਰਜ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਵਿਆਪੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੋਮ (ਇਟਲੀ) ਵੀ ਗਏ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੈਟੀਕਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੋਪ ਲੀਓ-ਐਕਸ (Pope Leo-X) ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ:
"ਰੋਮਨ ਕਾਨਕਲੇਵ (ਕਾਰਡੀਨਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ) ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ "ਨਾਨਕ" (ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਾਇਮੈਟਿਕਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਏਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ ਥਿਊਰੀ ਆਫ਼ ਐਲੀਮੈਂਟਸ ਦੇ ਖੋਜੀ ਵੀ ਹਨ) ਰੋਮ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਇਹ 1518 ਦੇ ਪੋਪ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਲੀਓ-ਐਕਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਰਡੀਨਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਲੇਵ (ਕਾਰਡੀਨਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾਂ) ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਕਲੇਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਓ-ਐਕਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਈਸਾਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਨਕ, "ਸਾਡੀ ਨਸਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਪਿਤਾ" ਦੇ ਨਕਸ਼ੇ-ਕਦਮਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਈਸਾਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਟਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕੈਥੋਲਿਕ ਪੋਪ ਨੇ ਰੋਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਰੇਖਾਂਕਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। यह ਕਾਨਕਲੇਵ 1609 ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਰੋਮਨ ਖਰੜਾ ਸੀ।"
ਇਹ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਬਿਰਤਾਂਤ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਵਿਆਪੀ ਮਾਨਵਤਾਵਾਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਹੈ।
ਸਿੱਟਾ
ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਗੁੰਝਲਦਾਰ, ਬਹੁ-ਪਰਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਹੈ - ਇੱਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮੰਡੀ ਬਲੂਪ੍ਰਿੰਟ ਜੋ ਅਧਿਆਤਮ, ਕਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਆਜੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਰਹੱਸਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਫੈਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
